Monkey Bread

This is so easy to make and this tastes sooo YUMMY!  I baked this one morning and it was gone by the end of the day. I found this recipe by Pillsbury, Using Grands Biscuits.

1/2 cup granulated sugar1 teaspoon cinnamon2 cans (16.3 oz each) Pillsbury® Grands!® Homestyle refrigerated buttermilk biscuits1/2 cup chopped walnuts, if desired1/2 cup raisins, if desired1 cup firmly packed brown sugar3/4 cup butter or margarine, melted

1.Heat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease 12-cup fluted tube pan with shortening or cooking spray. In large -storage plastic food bag, mix granulated sugar and cinnamon.2.Separate dough into 16 biscuits; cut each into quarters. Shake in bag to coat. Arrange in pan, adding walnuts and raisins among the biscuit pieces.3.In small bowl, mix brown sugar and butter; pour over biscuit pieces.4.Bake 28 to 32 minutes or until golden brown and no longer doughy in center. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Turn upside down onto serving plate; pull apart to serve. Serve warm.

Friday Week in Review 1/17

Almost forgot to post my week in review!  My brain is fried from work this whole week. I have been covering an employee who was out the entire week.  On top of my daily tasks and adding hers as well, I'm pretty much wiped out at the end of the day.  I'm looking forward to a sunny weekend. Cold but sunny.  I'm actually writing in my blog here at work, instead of finishing out a few small tasks. I just can't get myself to look at another email or answer another question.

At home my hubby has been sick. When you have a sick husband at home that means you have to do everything.  Needless to say, I forgot to give my son his bath Wednesday night! "Note to self, my child needs his bath TONIGHT!"  Good thing it's been to cold for him to play outside.

This Sunday I'm meeting with my illustrator to go over in more detail each drawing and hopefully get this children's book closer to being published. I'm very excited to see the finished book!

Time to grab a book and a bottle of wine!!

This week looking back in review:

Friday Week in Review-1/10

This week in review is pretty good.  I'm hoping 2014 will be a good year. Not that 2013 wasn't a bad year.

If you don't know already about me, I'm a multi-tasker. I constantly have several projects going at once. I don't know why I'm like that, but I am.  I work full-time, I have a blog that I'm trying to keep updated and successful, I'm currently working on publishing a children's book, I'm a couponer and I'm a Lia Sophia jewelry sales rep. Needless to say, I'm always looking for a new project. I'm hoping one of those projects takes off to where I can quite my full-time job and work from home. The commute to Atlanta is awful. I'm also tired of working for large corporations. The politics of it is so convoluted. Many workers are not given proper raises, bonuses or promotions. Many of these companies are turning a profit and CAN afford to pay their employee's well. I know upper management gets paid VERY well. Let's just say..they don't need to buy another boat this year.  I've come to a point where, if I want to get paid what I feel I deserve, then I need to do it myself. Even if I'm earning less than I'm making now, I'll be happier because I'm in control.

The only thing I can do now is concentrate on improving myself and all the projects I'm working on.  I'm also trying to increase my Lia Sophia sales and book more parties this year. I need to be more open and more of a "I can do it" person then a "I'll never be good enough" person.

This week I've shared my personal reviews on:

Poo-Pourri Review and Giveaway

I wanted to do a review on a new product that some of you may or may not have heard of. You can only find the advertisements on the internet, via Facebook, YouTube and Amazon. This cleaver creative product is not for the light hearted. You need to have a sense of humor to enjoy how creative this company decided to market and advertise their product.

Poo-pourri started with a cleaver ad called “Girls don’t poop”. I first saw this on Facebook and laughed so hard at the unique product. “Surely I thought, this product can’t be real?” I looked further and Googled, “Poo-pourri and sure enough, there is a website that describes the product, offers full reviews and provides a huge line of products for men, women, babies and pets! Each bottle has its own funny description of each aroma you can choose from.

What is Poo-pourri? Poo-Pourri is a blend of essential oils that virtually eliminates bathroom odors! You spray the product in the toilet bowl before you go! What an impressive idea! Most cover-up sprays are for AFTER you go. By then it’s just too late. You have a mix of scented roses and your own creation providing a really ungodly smell. You still have to run out of the bathroom and close the door in hopes it doesn’t follow you out! This product also provides a travel size you can put in your pocket or purse. I have one in my purse now. J This is great for when you have an unexpected upset stomach and you don’t care to share your misfortune with the people around you. I have used the product myself and I can say it WORKS!!
If you’re still not sure about the product, I highly suggest you visit the website just to go and read each bottle description. You will get a laugh at each one. This past Christmas I bought several as Christmas gifts for my whole family. The loved it!

Since I love this product so much and I happen to have an extra bottle I’m going to give one away to my readers!!
