The Best Banana Bread

The Best Banana Bread

  • 4 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup or I stick butter softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teas. baking soda
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teas baking powder
  • 1/2 teas. salt

Cream together butter, eggs and sugar with mixer. Break up bananas into quarters and use mixer again
until bananas are pretty much mixed into batter. No big lumps, very small ones. Add soda, salt and baking
powder in and stir. Then add flower, a cup at a time, mixing with slow speed. Spray bread pan with spray oil and bake at 350 for a half hour and 340 degrees for the last half hour. Take a knife and move around bread and tip upside down to get bread out and then I let it cool. When still warm put into ziplock bag and let steam at bit or keep it in there to store. A nice moist banana bread. You can add mini chocolate chips or nuts, but this is good plain. let it cool about 20 25 minutes before I put in bag.
